DAY TRIP TO: S A L V A T I O N M O U N T A I N

So far, my husband and I have been to Ireland and Mexico together. One of our travel goals for this year is instead of taking only one grand vacation, to take a few smaller road trips to visit spots here in the USA.

We started by taking a day trip to Salvation Mountain in Niland, CA. It's about an hour from Palm Springs in the middle of the desert. Picture this: you are driving along an empty road and then you see a colorful painted mountain in the distance! It feels like a dream, really. The mountain is made from adobe, straw and thousands of gallons of paint.
It was Leonard Knight’s life mission to create something showing “God is Love” to the world. After many trial and errors, he built Salvation Mountain. It’s become a lifelong project where it constantly grows and needs to be repainted and maintained. I can’t imagine dedicating that many years into a single project. I truly admire his commitment to make Jesus and His unfailing love be known to the world. I'd say mission accomplished.

If you ever get the chance to visit, go! Its pretty amazing.

Love always,
Jessica

This year, my husband wanted traditional red throughout our house for Christmas. What better way to do that then by adding holly and red roses! Because red is so bold,  I wanted to keep our table scape this year simple, classic and romantic. Its tradition in my family to have Christmas Eve dinner and open gifts Christmas morning. Hope you all have a great Christmas Eve making lots of memories with your friends and family!

December is a month filled with parties from the first weekend of the month until New Year's Eve! Some parties are completely casual while others are formal. Can we all just agree that you can never go wrong with black?! Its simple, classic, elegant and can be both casual and formal. One of my absolute favorite things to do is to keep it simple with my clothes by using solid colors but making a bold statement with the textures and fabrics. This ensemble you see here is not a dress but two separate pieces you can use many different ways. I paired a black lace top with a chiffon maxi dress, added some strappy heels, lip stick and accessories and voila! I am ready for any Christmas party that comes my way!

I hope you ladies have a lovely December and when choosing our cute outfits for this months festivities, lets remember we not only represent ourselves with what we wear, but also Christ our Lord.

Hello! It's been four months since my last blog post and so much has changed. Some changes have been exciting and some not so much in the beginning, but we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:28).

Ultimately we can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps (Proverbs 16:9).

We've also been busy with a few more home updates, babysitting my one year old niece Azyriah three times a week, church events and my husbands ever changing works schedule as an IT Specialist. I am enjoying all this new found time with my husband and loved ones and I couldn't be more excited for whats to come!

Hope you all have an amazing week and a Happy Thanksgiving! Lets keep Jesus at the center of it all.

Love,
Jessica

E M E R A L D H A I R

Later in my life when someone asks me, 'what is the craziest thing you have ever done?' I will happily say 'dye my hair green!!!!' HA. If you know me, you know I am not very edgy nor does bright hair colors fit my personality. I am a safe & classic looks typa gal. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to cut my hair in a long bob and/ or to dye my hair green and I always found an excuse NOT to do it. Well, I finally did both and I love it!
♡♡♡

Its silly but it was on my bucket list before having a baby hehe. Long bob. CHECK. Green hair. CHECK.

Of course I did NOT do this to myself. The best cut and color stylist also happens to be my friend. Valerie Slade, thank you for making me feel edgy and fun all while remaining a classic beauty. And special thanks to all the ladies who encouraged me to go for it and rock it!
